The LGBT Leadership Council in welcoming The Honorable Chris Gregoire Governor of Washington to a fundraiser event for President Obama today, being held at the San Francisco LGBT Center.   The event is hosted by Jamie Citron, Director of the LGBT Leadership Council and Kathy Levinson,  National Co-Chair of the LGBT Leadership Council on Weds September 19th, 2012, San Francisco, CA. www.facebook.com/events/510396695652778/518889464803501/?ref=notif&notif_t=plan_mall_activity

Governor Christine Gregoire signed marriage equality into law in February this year. The bill allows gay and lesbian couples to marry in Washington State, making the State the seventh in the United States to legalize same-sex marriage.  Anti-gay supporters have been attempting to bring marriage equality to an end in Washington through a ballot measure.
