GAY U.S.A. the Movie is calling on Gay Republicans to open their eyes, read the platform and ditch the devil.

The GOP belong in the Dark Ages. They are no good for women, no good for rape and incest survivors, no good for children, no good for progress, no good for environment and certainly no good for the gays. Here is the spoiler which we found at Tampa Bay Times: No surprises to us – how about you?

“  — It won’t be until next week that the delegates of the Republican National Convention will vote on the GOP platform. But The Buzz obtained a draft of a section on Monday, and it doesn’t disappoint. It tilts to the right.

Titled “Restoring Constitutional Government”, the eight-page section offers a snapshot of the current state of American conservatism.

It’s only a draft, and the platform committee must approve it before the full Republican National Convention votes on it, but here are some excerpts from a document that serves as a guidepost for Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign.

Human life amendment

“We assert the sanctity of human life and affirm that the unborn child has a fundamental right to life which cannot be infringed. We support a human life amendment to the Constitution and endorse legislation to make clear that the Fourteenth Amendment’s protections apply to unborn children. We oppose using public revenues to promote or perform abortion or fund organizations which perform or advocate it and will not fund or subsidize heath care which includes abortion coverage.” There is no explicit exception for rape or incest.

Negatory on affirmative action

“We support efforts to help low-income individuals get a fair chance based on their potential and individual merit; but we reject preferences, quotas, and set-asides, as the best or sole methods through which fairness can be achieved, whether in government, education or corporate boardrooms…Merit, ability, aptitude, and results should be the factors that determine advancement in our society.”

Undocumented workers don’t count

“We support changing the way that the decennial census is conducted, so that citizens are distinguished from lawfully present aliens and illegal aliens. In order to preserve the pinciple of one-person, one-vote, the apportionment of representatives among the states should be according to the number of citizens.”

Gay marriage? No way

“We reaffirm our support for a constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman.”

No new taxes — except maybe for war

“We call for a Constitutional amendment requiring a super-majority for any tax increase with exceptions for only war and national emergencies, and imposing a cap limiting spending to historical average percentage of GDP so that future Congresses cannot balance the budget by raising taxes.”

Freedom of (some) religion

“We support the public display of the Ten Commandments as a reflection of our history and our country’s Judeo-Christian heritage, and we affirm the right of students to engage in prayer at public school events in public schools and to have equal access to public schools and other public facilities to accommodate religious freedoms in the public square.”

Stand your ground

“We support the fundamental right to self-defense wherever a law-abiding citizen has a legal right to be, and we support federal legislation that would expand the exercise of that right by allowing those with state-issued carry permits to carry firearms in any state that issues such permits to its own residents.”

Medical research

“We oppose federal funding of embryonic stem cell research.”"

AND because we are Gay U.S.A. the Movie we implore our friends to ditch the dirty dark aged devils, by calling on GOProud,  Log Cabin Republicans and Fred Karger  to end their engagement with the ‘Devil of the Dark Age,’ as they continue to dabble in hope with the hopeless.  It is time for all LGBTI Americans to stand together as one and to announce unconditional support for equality by endorsing Democrats and President Obama. There is absolutely no excuse for Gay  Republicans to not take the ultimate stand and to show America and the Right Wing Republicans that the only principals worth fighting for are true American values which start  with the foundation – Freedom and Equality. Without the latter as a basis, the rest of the platform is meaningless, regardless of one’s overall political views.
