Kasha Jacqueline Nabagesera speaking at the ICM 2011 – is one of my heroes. She has stood bravely together with her now murdered dear friend David Kato, speaking to the world about the plight of  gays and lesbians (LGBTI) in Africa. She has spoken around the world. She expresses gratitude to Amnesty International at ICM 2011, but asks for more  than petitions and more than statements.  Many cannot afford internet – “how can we help communities” struggling to live normal lives and who cannot afford access to  resources.

Note by Melanie:- Now I ask my American and international friends – what ideas do you have to help the LGBTI communities around the world who are suffering the criminalization of homosexuality and all the persecution such designation commands.
